FAQ

What do we do that sets up apart from other businesses?  We are extremely flexible.  This is important for people who are employed or have last minute travel changes.  If their work is delayed in the evening they can give us a call and we are available.

What is the difference between dog walking and pet sitting? Dog walking is a daily service Monday through Sunday while you are at work. Pet sitting includes taking care of your pets and your house while you are away on vacation or business travel.

Do you also provide scheduled walks or visits when I am in town working a normal week? Yes. Many of our clients request this specific type of service. It's a great way to potty train new pets or give existing pets the necessary attention and exercise during the day.

How do I sign up for dogwalking/petsitting? Call or email us to set up a free consultation. We will meet to review your requirements, sign papers and answer questions.

What type of pets do you care for? We love all pets and will care for many different types of critters. We will care for most pets as long as they do not pose a danger to us and do not have a history of biting or attacking other animals or people. We believe each pet is unique so let's talk and discuss your pet's needs.

Why is a consulation necessary? The consultation meeting is a visit that allows you to get to know our service. During this visit we will perform the following tasks: introduce myself to you and your pet, pick up keys, confirm pertinent information about you and your pet (e.g. vet information, emergency contact, special requests, etc.), and answer any additional questions you may have.

Are you bonded and insured? Yes.  I am insured and bonded through Pet Sitters International.

What should I expect when I return home? You can expect to find your pets healthy and happy, as well as an impeccably maintained home. You will find a note from us. The note will give a report on how everything went while you were away. When you arrive home, you need to call us to let us know you've returned. The note we leave for you will remind you of this.

What will you do if my pet becomes ill while I am away? If we suspect that something is wrong with your pet, we will call you at the emergency phone numbers we have on file for you. We will describe the situation with your pet. If you believe the veterinarian should see your pet, we will transport your pet to the veterinarian's office for examination and treatment. In the event we cannot reach you, we will decide if your pet should be seen by the veterinarian. If necessary, we will take your pet for treatment. You will be billed for any extra time we spend for these services.

How do I know my pets are doing well while I am away? We can either email you reports regarding your pets while you are traveling or we can call a prearranged number while we are at your home. You can decide what works best for you.
